artist-at-large is a tumbling online community arts and cultural travel magazine as well as a creative community for artists, writers, creatives, photographers, gallerists, museum nerds, and cultural travelers. Good for artist and collector, trip researcher and armchair traveler, you will find a blend of community, conversation, creative portfolios and blogs, travel tales and information, photos of the day, and listings for exhibitions, open studios, workshops, and cultural events from around the world. The stories and information presented on the site are written in a way that are meant to be valuable over a long period of time, like an art or travel magazine that you keep by your desk and flip through when you need information, or just want to daydream, while the community is meant to engage and inspire.
So, when I was thinking of what kind of tools to shoot for this challenge, I was thinking of professional tools. All kinds of tools are artist tools, but when it came to thinking about cooking tools, cafe tools, mechanics tools, writer’s tools, baker’s tools, etc, I was thinking of tools in a professional environment. Yes, this would mean that some images may need to be shot in public environments, and even some with the permission of the people that own them.
All those look great!
